Chainmail Joe European 4 in 1 Tutorial #2 - Speedweaving/Ribbon Method
Speedweaving/Ribbon Method
This "Speedweaving" technique is also known as the Ribbon Method.
Is it faster than other methods?
--Possibly, it definitely feels faster than other techniques though the actual speed really is individual to each person.
1. Begin by opening one ring and closing four jump rings.
2. Place the four closed rings inside the Open ring.
3. Close the open ring and arrange it as shown below, This is one "unit" of European 4 in 1.
4. Work ahead as much as you can.
Pre-close and pre-open a whole bunch of rings. Pre-close twice as many rings as you pre-open.
5. Put two closed rings onto one open ring.
Insert the open ring(shown in Gold) through two rings(shown in red) in the unit from step 3, then close it.
Repeat step 5, put two closed rings onto one open ring.
Insert the open ring(shown in Gold) through two rings(shown in red) in the unit from step 3, then close it.
Keep repeating step 5 until you have a long ribbon!

Option A: Side Zipper
That's the side zipper method, at least that's what I call it!
Keep adding rings like in steps 1 & 2 to make it wider if desired.
